A TV Can Enhance Your Infrared Sauna Routine

Even once you’re in the sauna, propping a phone against the glass only solves so much: it fogs up, overheats, or just wasn’t built to handle the heat. A TV built for the heat and humidity of your sauna doesn’t have that problem.

No Placement Rules
Adding a TV to an infrared sauna cabin is simpler than it sounds. Unlike a traditional wet sauna, an infrared sauna needs no ventilation for a TV, regardless of screen size or placement. There are no heater-distance rules to plan around either, since there’s no concentrated heat source like those found in a traditional sauna. Mount it on the wall, in the wall, or from the ceiling, whatever fits your space.
Getting the Size Right
Most infrared saunas seat one to four people in a compact footprint, which dictates short viewing distances for a television. A 21″ to 27″ screen is comfortable from about 3 to 5.5 feet away, and a 32″ screen works up to about 6.5 feet, which covers the seating distance in almost any infrared cabin. Going bigger just means a screen you can’t comfortably view at that range.
What to Look For
Look for a TV that’s actually built for a high-temperature sauna environment.
