Where Can You Actually Install a TV? More Places Than You Think.

Family in living room shocked at what they see

We like to say that our “televisions go where other TVs can’t.” This means two things.

First, our TVs can be installed into areas that other TVs aren’t designed to fit — flush into walls, or directly into kitchen cabinets.

Second, they work in environments that would destroy a regular television: bathrooms, saunas, kitchens, pool rooms, spas, and so on.

Here’s how we did it.

Part One: Places Other TVs Aren’t Designed to Fit

A standard television is designed to sit on a piece of furniture or hang on a wall. But a growing number of homeowners, designers, and builders are working on spaces where a black rectangle hanging on the wall isn’t the ideal solution.

Into the wall. Our in-wall TVs can install into the wall, flush with the wall surface. No frame, no visible hardware, only a couple millimeters of protrusion. When the TV is off, there’s nothing on the wall that announces itself as a television. It’s the cleanest way to put a television into any space.

This matters for rooms where the design is the point, where a conventional TV would undercut it. A bedroom where you want the screen to disappear. A living room where the wall is part of the architecture. A bathroom where everything is intentional, and your bathroom mirror is now more than just a mirror.

Into your kitchen cabinet. Our kitchen cabinet TVs replace the cabinet door itself, including the ability to open and close. This allows the storage behind the cabinet to stay completely intact. The TV fits standard cabinet widths and sits where the door used to be, at eye level, without taking up counter space.

Somewhere else? If our out-of-the-box kitchen cabinet or in-wall TVs don’t fit what you’re trying to accomplish, our custom shop handles non-standard sizes, shapes, and configurations that don’t exist in any product catalog, too. If you have a space that wants a TV but doesn’t seem to be built for one, give us a call. More detail on custom projects here.

Part Two: Environments That Would Destroy a Regular TV

A standard consumer television is not designed for heat, moisture, or steam. Put one in a bathroom and the humidity gets into the electronics. Put one near a sauna heater and the heat does the same.

Our TVs are built differently, from the ground up, for exactly these environments.

Bathrooms. All of our TVs are IPX4-certified. This means they’ve been independently tested to handle splashing and steam from any direction. Every gap in the steel frame is sealed with silicone by hand during assembly. The connection ports on the back are sealed at the factory, so the IPX4 rating holds whether the TV is installed in a wall or mounted on the wall surface.

Saunas. Our TVs are certified to perform continuously at temperatures up to 176°F. The main chipset is connected directly to the steel frame via an aluminum heat sink. This allows the heat that generated by the TV to transfer into the frame and dissipate, rather than building up inside the unit and compounding with the high temperatures in the sauna.

Kitchens, pool rooms, and spas. The same construction that makes our TVs suitable for bathrooms and saunas makes them equally at home anywhere moisture, steam, and humidity are factors. Built from steel and glass, fully sealed, and certified to perform in the conditions they’ll actually face.

Putting It All Together

Physical placement and environmental resilience often show up together in the same project. A bathroom mirror TV needs to install cleanly into the wall and survive the humid bathroom environment. A sauna TV needs to fit into even the smallest saunt and handle the heat. A kitchen cabinet TV needs to integrate into the room design and hold up to splashing water, sauces, or food.

Most TV manufacturers solve for neither of these. We solve for both.
