Custom Mirror TVs: If you can dream it, we can likely build it

We can build a custom magic mirror tv for virtually any need

A mirror TV doesn’t have to look like a mirror TV.

It can be a floor-to-ceiling feature behind a bar. A uniquely shaped mirror above a fireplace with a screen built into it. A bathroom mirror in a hotel that doubles as a guest information display. A conference room installation that looks like a piece of art until someone walks up and touches it. A retail display that stops people in their tracks.

If you’re an interior designer, architect, or builder working on a project that calls for an experience that a standard mirror TV can’t deliver, you’re in the right place.

What We’ve Built

We’ve done residential bar backs, hotel and restaurant bathroom mirrors, statement mirrors above fireplaces, conference rooms, pool rooms, spa environments, retail displays, and advertising installations. We’ve built to non-standard shapes and sizes that don’t exist in any product catalog.

And then there’s the version most people haven’t considered yet: interactive. Touch-enabled Magic Mirror TVs that respond to input. These are great for hotel lobbies, retail environments, fitness studios, or any space where engagement matters. If you thought a mirror TV was just a beautiful screen, an interactive installation is something else entirely.

If you can picture it, reach out. The answer is probably yes.

Ensuring You Get Precisely What You Need

If you are looking for a mirror TV to fit into a unique space or to have certain specified characteristics, we can likely build it for you.

How the process works

You reach out and tell us what you’re trying to accomplish. If it’s close to something we’ve built before, we can put together a plan, price, and timeline in a day or two. If it requires sourcing materials we don’t typically work with, that process can add another day or two. Once confirmed, construction and shipping typically take about a month, depending on complexity.

We’ll ask for drawings with dimensions before we start. The more specific you can be, the faster and smoother the process. We don’t start production until you approve our detailed design plans, based on your input.

And because we own our factory, we’re able to turn custom projects around more quickly than you likely expect.

Working through the variables

We’re committed to ensuring your custom Magic Mirror TV accomplishes everything you need it to accomplish in its space. Here are a few of the variables we will consider as part of your project.

Mirror size and shape

We cut mirror glass to a wide range of sizes and non-standard shapes, up to approximately 2000mm × 900mm. Rectangular, arched, circular, asymmetrical. If it serves the design, we can work with it.

Mirror type

We offer light silver (~40% light transmission, 60% reflection) and dark graphite (~25% transmission, 75% reflection). We’ll recommend the best option based on the ambient light conditions of the room. If you have a strong preference, however, we can build it either way.

Screen size

21.5″ through 75″, in standard sizes. We can’t manufacture custom screen dimensions, but between those two endpoints there’s a size for almost every application. Brightness is matched to the screen size and mirror type by design.

Framing and LED backlighting

Our TVs are engineered to install in-wall, but they don’t have to. We can design a premium frame, an LED glow behind the mirror, or both.

Interactive Experiences

We can build interactive Magic Mirror TVs for home or commercial applications

Do you need an interactive display for a lobby or conference room, or want the ability to fire up Netflix in your living room with a simple touch? We can do it. Do you want your mirror to turn into a TV when someone walks by, then back into a mirror when they’ve left? We can make that happen, too. The applications for this level of interactivity are endless. Let’s talk.

Tell us about your project.

Open Frame TVs: When You Prefer to Assemble it Yourself

Open Frame Parallel AV TV

Maybe you already have exactly what you need and simply require reliable television functionality. In this case, you can finish the job with one of our open frame TVs.

An open frame TV is a Parallel AV television without the front glass panel, designed to be mounted behind a custom mirror, glass surface, or architectural element of your choosing. The mirror becomes the screen’s front face. The TV sits behind it, completely out of sight when not in use.

Adding an open frame TV to your planned mirror set up will require some know-how. If you source one of our open frame TVs, we will be happy to help ensure you know exactly what’s needed before you begin putting everything together.

A Final Thought About Brightness

Whatever path you take, the TV behind the mirror needs to be significantly brighter than a standard consumer display. A mirror coating absorbs and reflects a portion of the light, for which the panel must compensate. Even an OLED screen won’t look bright enough behind a mirror.

Our open frame TVs and custom builds are spec’d specifically for mirror installations, with brightness levels matched to the screen size and mirror type being used.

A standard consumer TV, be it LED or OLED or something else, placed behind a two-way mirror will produce a dim, washed-out picture. Ours will not.
